I wrote about this excellent writing course several months ago — James Chartrand’s “Damn Fine Words” class. She’s getting ready to open it back up again, and I’ve just posted a reprise of my earlier article, “How I learned to write like James Chartrand,” at RiverwoodWriter.com.
If you have to create any kind of written content for your business, especially if you blog, write articles, or create information products, this class will revolutionize your approach and teach you how to write with more power and conviction, with less stress and in less time.
Registration for the next class begins on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012. Even if you’re not ready to commit to this class now, get on her mailing list for lots of free tips and to be notified when the class if offered again.

It’s on my list of things to do (not now, but perhaps in the future). Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for stopping by, Karen. I think you’ll be pleased with the writing tips you get from being on her list, even if you’re not ready to take the class.

You’ll get a great deal out of being on her mailing list, whether or not you take the course, Kelly, but I really, really found it worthwhile.
I got a comment from someone on my other blog in response to the title “How I learned to write like James Chartrand” that they would respect me more if I wrote like myself :-). As I responded there, the title was mostly in fun for those of us who know and love James Chartrand, but it made me realize that I had not emphasized that one of the things she spent considerable time on was helping us find our own voice, our own emotion, and our own writing triggers. Good stuff.

Thanks for sharing. I will sign up. Anything to improve my writing is appreciated.

Hi Elizabeth!
I concur. What a great class James conducts.
Hope you’re well. Still “coming out from under” here following Mom’s passing, but I WILL get back on top.
Blessings.

Thanks, Brad — and one of the many gifts from the class is meeting people like you who have stayed in touch and been so supportive. I appreciate it more than I can say.
Yes, you WILL get back on top, but a time or two when I’ve helped a widow with all the things necessary in the months after her husband’s death, I am appalled at how complicated and confusing it can be. When you’ve got the emotional layer of losing a loved one on top of it all, it can seem pretty overwhelming. Take care of yourself!
